We're incredibly grateful for your donations, which allow us to provide toiletries and personal care products to those in need.
Here are a few ways you can help.
Donate from your phone
It’s super easy to donate via text. Just text BEAUTY5 to donate £5, BEAUTY10 to donate £10 and so on, to 70490*. The maximum donation via text is £20, so if you’d like to give more, please donate online. Thank you!
*Texts cost the chosen donation amount plus one standard network rate message
Donate online
You can donate to us via GoFundMe. We’ll turn your financial donations into the personal care and hygiene products that our charity partners need most at the time - which means we send our charities exactly what they need, when they need it, with no waste. Your vital donations will also help with the cost of distribution.
“Moving into my new home and seeing a welcome pack with lots of hygiene essentials made me feel really welcome. I was homeless and came to Llamau with next to nothing, so these made a huge difference. Thank you.”
—16-year-old care leaver
Other ways you can donate
-
Our wishlist shows the products we need most. Once we receive your donations, we’ll redistribute them to our charity partners. You’ll also find Beauty Banks gift vouchers, which we use to buy the items we most need at any given time.
-
You’ll find Beauty Banks donation bins in 100 Superdrug stores across the UK. There’s a participating store in every major city. Contact us for details of the one nearest you.
-
Donate personal care and hygiene products to us directly via the excellent DropPoint. We ensure every product you send gets into the hands of someone who needs it. But please bear in mind we can only accept unopened, unused and in-date toiletries and cosmetics, due to strict hygiene protocols.
Answering your questions
-
Imagine your typical day - the stuff you use is the stuff we need. Shampoo, conditioner, toothbrushes, toothpaste, body wash, deodorant, soap, body lotion, hand wash and sanitary products are our top ten most requested products. But things like razors and razorblades, shaving gel, flannels, spot cream, moisturiser, hairbrushes, combs and nail clippers are all welcome too. If you have children, think about their essentials - talcum powder, baby shampoo, nappies, wipes, bum cream. Our clients living in temporary accommodation and homeless shelters, meanwhile, often need travel minis they can carry more easily from place to place. And a reminder that we can only distribute unused, unopened items.
-
As well as used products we’re unable to accept items such as fake tan, health supplements and vitamins, body slimming and weight loss products. We also prefer not to receive nail polish, as this frequently smashes in transit.

We can only accept unopened, unused and in-date toiletries and cosmetics due to strict hygiene protocols.

Yes, we’d love them! But owing to health and safety restrictions, these must be brand new, in their original packaging and where applicable, pre-fitted with a UK plug
-
Absolutely! Your donations of unused makeup are an unexpected but always greatly appreciated treat for our partner charities’ clients. We know a lipstick or mascara can make all the difference to someone’s confidence and mood. We also keep a quantity of makeup set aside for Christmas, when we distribute thousands of gifts to people of all genders and ages. They are hugely meaningful to recipients and sometimes the only present they’ll receive.

If your donation is made to our Superdrug store partners, or to a Beauty Spot drop off point, it will go to a local charity helping those living in poverty in that area.
If you donate to us via DropPoint, your donation will be matched to a request from one of 1000 charity partners across the UK.

Our Beauty Spots are local drop off points for unused toiletries. These might be shops, large offices, hair salons, nail bars, beauty spas, chemists, even pubs! Anywhere that is safe and accessible for people wishing to donate to Beauty Banks is very welcome to join our network. The purpose of our Beauty Spots is to collate and distribute Beauty Banks donations to local charities, ensuring donations stay nearby. This helps the local community, drastically reduces our carbon footprint, and saves our precious resources. If you’d like to open a Beauty Banks Beauty Spot, see “How can I volunteer to help?”
